FOMO Pay, the first authorized WeChat Pay and Baidu Wallet partner in Southeast Asia, is a winner of The Red Herring Asia Top 100 award.
Since its inception in 1996, the Top 100 award celebrates the most exciting startups and private ventures in Asia, Europe and North America. Competition is tough, with hundreds of candidates from each continent vying for the prestigious award. Out of the 100 companies chosen in Asia, only 10 other Singapore startups made it to the list.
The selection process involves 3 steps, and companies are graded based on more than 20 criteria, including technological advantage, team quality and growth rate. FOMO Pay has identified the rising mobile payment trend in China, and offers services to bridge the gap between local merchants and Chinese consumers. This is done through tailoring marketing campaigns to suit Chinese consumers, and seamlessly integrating Chinese-preferred payment methods (WeChat Pay, Alipay) into existing payment systems.
FOMO Pay is also running as a candidate for the Top 100 Red Herring Global award, and will be presenting in Los Angeles this coming November.
