Fancy a cup of freshly squeezed orange juice while on-the-go? You can with iJooz, at just $2 per cup.
Fruits Vending Pte Ltd, the company that developed iJooz, is now Singapore’s largest and most popular fresh orange juice vending machine operator. The iJooz vending machines can be found in various locations around Singapore, including shopping malls, schools, corporate buildings, tourist attractions and government agencies.
Through FOMO Pay, iJooz now accepts WeChat Pay as one of its payment modes. This is done through a simple scanning of a QR code displayed on the vending machine using the customer’s WeChat Pay app on his or her mobile phone.
This is how iJooz works. After the order is placed, the machine will then dispense the oranges to be pulverized for juice, run the freshly squeezed juice through a filtering system to remove the seeds and pulp, and finally, deliver an all natural cup of orange juice to the customer.
Fruits Vending is the latest merchant to utilize FOMO Pay’s services in order to provide greater convenience to customers who are on-the-go. By offering WeChat Pay as a digital payment option, consumers can easily make purchases without having to carry the exact $1 coin or $2 note that the iJooz vending machine currently accepts. As a result of eradicating these barriers to purchase, the company also stands to earn greater profits through increased sales.
Besides that, it is evident that the use of cashless payment modes has been steadily increasing as it becomes a more viable option to achieve convenience and efficiency. Many merchants are starting to incorporate these e-payment modes in their vending machines. Some examples include Kalm which operates over 300 vending machines and the SPH Buzz convenience store – operating 16 cashless vending machines. All in all, e-payment service providers play a key role in achieving Singapore’s goal of a cashless society.
